    Description

    These vintage violin chinrests are made of hard rubber, circa 1890's, as indicated by the date stamps.
    The first is adjusted with a screw driver and is stamped "Patented Mar. 7, 1893".  Patented by G. H. Eames.
    *SOLD* The other two are identical and adjusted by aligning a pin on the bar with the proper hole in the metal plate attached to the bottom of the chinrest.  They are stamped "PAT'D FEB 23 18,  C. F. ALBERT".   The patent was issued in 1875.
    All the chinrests have new corks installed on the points of contact.
