VINTAGE MARKED DODD VIOLIN BOW  29"  length  50 grams  also MARKED SAXONY
shaft fairly straight with good camber.  J Dodd worked in London England.( c1752/ 1849) This is most likely a replica from the 19th century since it is marked Saxony on bottom in addition. The saxons were good bow makers. Needs rehaired and someone put a small metal plate on bottom of tip when last rehaired. Missing leather handle. Bottom and back are abalone. Frog is ebony.
