Description
Collectors of TLM original butterfly jewelry you will want to add this rare bracelet to your collection! This
RARE 1920's South American Morpho Butterfly wing bracelet
was made by the famous English jeweler,
Thomas L. Mott,
(see photo with marking) who introduced Morpho Butterfly wing jewelry to the United States in 1924. This unique bracelet is crafted with 5 sterling silver links and 5 diamond shape butterfly settings which features a genuine perfect butterfly wing that is preserved behind polished glass. The 5 butterfly bezels settings enclose perfectly preserved brilliant blue butterfly wings with a lightly engraved border.
The butterfly wing has intense shades of vivid blue color and brilliant iridescent properties, causing it to "magically take flight" when viewed in different light.
The closure is a spring ring.
This bracelet is rare as 5 perfect butterfly wings were used, and have still maintained their quality with no damage.
Most bracelets of this kind will use a lower quality wing and cover it will an image.
In general it is difficult to find a TLM butterfly wing bracelet!
Bracelet Measurements:
Length 7.25 inches long
Each Butterfly bezel measures 5/8 inches x 3/8 inches.
A Bracelet Measurement Tip
If you are not sure of your wrist size for a bracelet, try this: Wrap a loose measuring tape or piece of string around the bone area of your wrist from point to point. Where the measuring tape meets together, you will see your wrist size. If using a string, lay it flat on a ruler and you will determine your size. It is highly recommended that you buy only the bracelets that will fit your wrists.
This is a formerly owned vintage piece in excellent condition with vintage patina.
It's age and collective beauty make it a timeless collectible.
