Description
Dog and Barrel Figural Napkin Rings. Signed on underside, James W. Tufts, Boston, Warranted Triple Plate, along with the style number -- 1531. Note -- this is NOT the 1532 version, which is desirable and rare in its own right. Differences we spotted include that this version is triple plate rather than quadruple plate, the base and barrel have a fine line detail rather than a smooth finish, and the barrel is to the right side of the dog rather than the left. Very rare version -- our research only turned up one other example. Estate find in vintage condition. Some wear and a few dings (the worst of which are to the base) but presents very nicely. Victorian era, late 1800s vintage. Around 2 1/2 inches wide by 2 1/2 inches tall.We will gladly combine shipping where possible. For best rate, please request an invoice from us
