FINE ANTIQUE PERNAMBUCO GERMAN VIOLIN BOW PRE WWII
Fine violin bow, pre WWII.  17" in length for a 3/4 violin.  Could be used on a full size as well, depending on your preference.  This bow is signed, but all I can make out is A. SC ???.  It also stamped Germany underneath signifying pre WWII.  Most of these bows were made in the city of Dresden from  late 1800's to early 1900's and before it was bombed in the 1940's.  The windings on this bow are of baleen with what appears to be abalone and silver mount.  The total weight of this bow is 60 grams.  The bow has good camber and is straight with nice balance.  Nice dry finish.  I have not cleaned or polished this bow - I'll leave it to the new owners preference.  Small chip on back of ebony frog and other age appropriate wear on bow as seen in photos.  A beautiful bow to add to your collection.  Email us with questions or for international shipping quotes.  (Ref #71)
