Fresh out of an early Maine estate collection.
Antique violin, with bow and wood coffin type case.  Not a violin person, believe 19thc, please see all photos and make your own determination as to age.  Violin measures approximately 23 1/2" in length. Marked Conservatory Violin, as seen in photo. A printed label inside reads Antonius Stradiuarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 17, then in pencil looks like a 32? after the 17. Then a circle with AS and a cross on top.  Shows wear, some missing material on top rim, back is lifting in bottom area. Stamp on case interior of A. (Albert) Carter, Surry, Maine, who was born 1877. Selling as is, please see photos as to type and condition.
