This a 15 inch square lighted PAM electric clock that was built in 1960 or fairly soon thereafter. Please notice that it says "PAM CLOCK CO., INC., NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y., Copyright '60" in small letters on the bottom of the face glass.
Both of the lights work and the clock runs as it should. It no doubt was used in an American Motors dealership showroom for many years. There is some minor degradation of the white background on the bottom of the inner glass face as you can see in the third, fourth and fifth photos of this listing.
The steel can still wears it's original metallic gold paint and has some letters and numbers marked on it as you can see in the last photos of this listing.
This is a real original clock and not one built up from parts with a reproduction glass face. It appears that there are hundreds of new reproduction or otherwise faces available here on eBay so one must be careful when buying one of these beautiful PAM lighted electric clocks.
If you collect American Motors vehicles or automobilia, you might do well to give some very serious thought to buying this scarce original Rambler clock before some other enthusiast hits the "Buy It Now" button. I can not find any other Rambler clocks like this on either current or past listings here on eBay.
